CrediCert is built for SkillUp!'s youth entrepreneurship programme. This page explains what the app collects, why, and who can see it, in plain language, not legal filler.
This policy applies to anyone using the CrediCert app or website as a trainee, mentor or facilitator in a SkillUp!-linked programme. If you're joining as a trainee and you're under 18, this should be read together with your parent, guardian or programme coordinator. The programme itself, not CrediCert, is what you and your family have agreed to by enrolling.
To run the programme, CrediCert collects:
We use this information to run the programme you've joined: building and tracking your business plan, letting a mentor review your evidence and sign off on tasks, issuing certificates, scoring the leaderboard, and keeping the app reliable.
Some of your evidence photos are also looked at by an AI service to give a quick first read, for example flagging whether a photo seems to match the task it was attached to, before a mentor makes the actual decision. That request goes to a third-party AI provider and is not used to train their models on your data beyond processing that one request.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it outside the programme for marketing.
We keep your information for as long as you're active in the programme and for a reasonable period after, so certificates and records remain valid and the programme can report on its outcomes. You can ask for your account to be closed at any time, see "Your choices" below.
You can:
To do any of this, speak to your programme facilitator or mentor first, or write to privacy@skillupzim.org.
Information is stored on secure servers with access limited to the people who need it to run the programme: your mentor, your facilitator, and a small CrediCert admin team. No system is perfectly unbreakable, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will let you know if something goes wrong that affects you.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll let participants know through the app or through their programme facilitator before it takes effect.
Questions about this policy, or about your information specifically, can go to privacy@skillupzim.org.
